Alexander Aubuchon

I'm a software engineer in New York City with a focus on databases and infrastructure.

At Stripe I founded a postgres-based relational database platform and scaled it to 80 datasets and 20k queries per second. Later, I standardized tracing across the company by introducing stable head sampling and consistent opt-in, affecting 5 million spans per second.

During undergrad I built a javascript bytecode bundler to optimize serverless functions at Google, and I worked on a number of research papers at CERN, the MIT Media Lab, and Draper Labs.

I'm also a human with interests. I like to cook, rock climb, read, and play videogames with a soft spot for menu games.
